One: The Purpose of this Blog

Hello everyone and Welcome!  My name is Rachelle and I want to tell you why I created this blog and for whom it was created.

I created this blog because for the last 7 or 8 years I have been obsessed with the idea of van life. I am a nomad by nature so the concept of van life is intriguing to me. It all started with a video featuring the father of the modern van life movement, Bob Wells:

There are multiple reasons for why I haven't joined the van life movement yet - they mostly have to do with my grown children and grandchildren.. and now my mother, but I digress.

As to "for whom" this blog was created...well, I created the blog for 3 categories of people:

1. Van Life Curious: My goal is to provide education, information and resources to anyone thinking of van dwelling.
2. Current Van Lifers: My plan is to offer an opportunity for other van dwellers to "connect" with others, perhaps in the comments and/or by connecting w/van lifers that I plan to showcase.
3. (Myself) My Van Life Journey: The plan is to document my journey of eventually moving into van life and serving as a source of inspiration to the "van life curious."  

To be perfectly honest, this blog will serve as a method for me to hold myself accountable to the overarching goal of becoming a van lifer within the next year or so. My hope is that I can eventually build a small audience of like-minded people and make a few friends along the way.
